Yes, GTA 6 pre-orders are open, and have been since midnight local time on June 25, 2026. In the US the Standard Edition costs $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition $99.99, on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Anyone who pre-orders or buys before November 20, 2026 gets the Vintage Vice City Pack; digital pre-orders on the console stores add one free month of GTA+. Ordering early does not lower the price. It gets you the bonus and a pre-load from November 12, a week before the November 19 launch. Our GTA 6 countdown shows the time left in your own time zone.

How much does GTA 6 cost?
Rockstar and Take-Two announced the prices on June 24, 2026, and the console stores show the same numbers today. Here is what the official store pages listed when we checked them on October 11, 2026:

Two notes on the table. The upgrade row matters if you already own Standard: on Xbox you pay the $20 difference later. On the US PlayStation Store the same upgrade is listed as an add-on, but on October 11 it showed "Unavailable" and no price, so on PS5 the cheapest route to Ultimate right now is to buy Ultimate straight away.
The second note is about formats. The Rockstar Store sells one boxed product, a code-in-box. Per Rockstar Support, there is no boxed Ultimate, but once the code from the box is redeemed you can buy the Ultimate Edition Upgrade; details are on our GTA 6 physical edition page. What you get for pre-ordering
Two things, and only one of them depends on where you buy.
The Vintage Vice City Pack goes to every pre-order and every purchase before November 20, 2026, Standard or Ultimate, digital or boxed. Rockstar describes it as "a collection of items that flash back to when the neon burned brightest". The store lists three parts:
- A '55 Vapid Stanier Sedan and a garage for it.
- Outfits and hairstyles.
- An exclusive weapon pattern.
One month of GTA+ goes to digital pre-orders from PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store. The Rockstar Store FAQ spells out how to claim it:
- PS5: open PlayStation Store with the account you pre-ordered on, go to the GTA+ page and press "Join". You have until March 31, 2027.
- Xbox Series X|S: open Microsoft Store with the same account, go to Offers & Credits and press "Redeem" on the GTA+ offer. You have 180 days from the purchase.
GTA+ is Rockstar's paid membership for GTA Online on GTA V: GTA$500,000 every billing period, Shark Card bonuses, the Vinewood Club and a library of older Rockstar games. It does not make GTA 6 itself bigger or earlier. The subscription renews on its own after the free month, and the official GTA+ page does not show a price, because that depends on the store and region. Where to pre-order GTA 6 officially
Take-Two named four kinds of sellers on June 24: PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, the Rockstar Games Store and "global retailers and storefronts".

The Rockstar Store row has a catch. Its FAQ ties the PlayStation code to the shipping country: a box shipped to the US or Canada works only with a PlayStation account registered there, one shipped to the UK only with a UK account, and one shipped to any of the other 17 countries on its shipping list only with an account from those 17 (Austria, Belgium, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland). Cancelling a Rockstar Store pre-order goes through Xsolla, Rockstar's fulfillment partner, with your order number and the email you ordered from.

From this update, October 11, pre-load is 32 days away and launch is 39. The release date page tracks the launch itself, and GTA 6 release time by time zone shows when November 19 starts in your part of the world, with the caveat that Rockstar has not announced an hour.
The boxed version holds a download code and no disc: Rockstar's store says "A disc will not be included in the box", and boxes are expected from November 12 so buyers can pre-load. Russia and Kazakhstan: what is actually available
As of October 11, 2026, Rockstar's own store answers a visitor from Kazakhstan with "This title is unavailable in your country or region". Its boxes ship to 20 countries, and neither Russia nor Kazakhstan is on that list. We found no official price in rubles or tenge on any Rockstar or Take-Two page. Russia and Kazakhstan are not on Rockstar's pre-order lists either. On October 18, 2026, the Russian PlayStation Store address for GTA VI led to a support page. We did not check the Xbox Store for those countries, so we are not quoting numbers.
If you see "GTA 6 costs N rubles" somewhere, that is a dollar price multiplied by an exchange rate, not a store price. The one solid piece of good news: Russian is on the official list of supported languages.
What usually goes wrong
Waiting for a pre-order discount. There is none. The pre-order price is the full price, $79.99 or $99.99. The reasons to order early are the pack, the GTA+ month and the pre-load.
Pre-ordering on a PS4 account or for a PS4. GTA 6 is PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. A PS4 owner can buy it, but cannot play it without a PS5.
Forgetting to claim GTA+. The month is not switched on by itself. Claim it on the store page by March 31, 2027 (PlayStation) or within 180 days (Xbox), and cancel before renewal if you do not want to pay.
Ordering a box for the wrong region. A UK box will not redeem on a US PlayStation account. Rockstar ties box codes to the region of your platform account, so buy a box for that region; the zones are listed on our GTA 6 physical edition page.
Buying after November 19 and expecting the Vintage pack. The cutoff is 23:59:59 on November 19 in the Xbox fine print; Rockstar's own wording is "prior to November 20". Day-two buyers do not get it.
Pre-order checklist before you pay:
- Pick the console: PS5 or Xbox Series X|S. Nothing else runs GTA 6 at launch.
- Pick the edition: $79.99 Standard or $99.99 Ultimate. On Xbox you can move up later for $20.
- Pick the format: digital for the GTA+ month, or a code-in-box from a store in your account's country.
- Order before November 20 for the Vintage Vice City Pack.
- Free up storage before November 12 and start the pre-load that day.
- Claim the GTA+ month and note the renewal date.
