GTA 6 costs $79.99 (Standard) and $99.99 (Ultimate) in the US. In 44 PlayStation Store regions checked on October 18, 2026, Standard ranged from about $62 in Japan to about $103 in Israel at ECB rates.
The same game costs £69.99 in the UK and €79.99 in all 15 euro countries on our list. Four more regions (Ukraine, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan) are in the tables with local prices only, because the European Central Bank publishes no rate for their currencies. Between Japan and Israel the gap is about $41 for Standard and $51 for Ultimate. Most of Europe lands near $90, because every euro country we checked charges €79.99. The US price sits in the cheaper part of the list: Japan, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Mexico, Hong Kong, Canada and New Zealand come out lower, and Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru charge the same US$79.99.

We could not read a price for Norway, Qatar, Kuwait and the Philippines on October 18, so they are left out. If your country is missing, open the GTA VI page in your own PlayStation Store: the price there is the one that counts.
Xbox Store, Rockstar Store and boxed copies
The Xbox Store in the US charges the same $79.99 and $99.99. It also sells an Ultimate Edition Upgrade for $20, so buying Standard now and upgrading later costs the same $99.99 in total. We only have Xbox prices for the US; the tables above are PlayStation Store prices.
Take-Two lists four ways to pre-order: PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Store and retailers. The boxed version is a code in a box with no disc. The Rockstar Store adds one more condition: PlayStation codes in its boxes only work with a PlayStation account from the same region: the US and Canada, the UK, or the European countries the Rockstar Store lists. Russia and Kazakhstan
On October 18, 2026 the Russian PlayStation address for GTA VI (playstation.com/ru-ru) opened a support page instead of the game, and the Kazakhstan address (en-kz) returned a 404 error. On October 11, Rockstar's own store answered a visitor from Kazakhstan: "This title is unavailable in your country or region."
So the PlayStation Store and the Rockstar Store give no price in rubles or tenge, and we did not check the Xbox Store for these countries. Any ruble or tenge figure you see online is the dollar price multiplied by an exchange rate. Russian is on Rockstar's list of supported languages, so the language itself is not the problem.
What usually goes wrong
Reading the dollar column as your price. Sign: you plan around "$62 in Japan". Cause: the conversion is there for comparison, but your PlayStation account buys in its own country's store, and boxed PlayStation codes from the Rockstar Store are locked to the account region. Fix: find your country's row and look at the local price.
Forgetting US sales tax. Sign: the receipt is higher than $79.99. Cause: PlayStation adds tax at checkout, and the amount depends on your delivery address. Fix: add your local sales tax to the budget. In the EU, consumer rules require the shown price to include all taxes.
Buying a cheap key from a reseller. Sign: a "GTA 6 key" far below your local price on a marketplace. Cause: the official list of sellers is PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, the Rockstar Store and "global retailers and storefronts", and a code bought for another country may not redeem on your account. Fix: buy from your own store or a retailer in your country.
Letting the free GTA+ month renew. Sign: a charge about a month after you start the free GTA+ month. Cause: the PlayStation Store says the GTA+ month that comes with a digital pre-order "Auto-renews". Fix: switch off renewal in your subscription settings if you only want the free month. Expecting a disc in the box. Sign: you pay for a physical copy and find a download code. Cause: the boxed version is a code-in-box; it ships and is ready for pickup from November 12 (expected) so buyers can pre-load. Fix: plan for the download either way; our GTA 6 file size and pre-load page explains what is known about the size.

In the US, $79.99 for Standard and $99.99 for Ultimate, on both PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. In the UK the PlayStation Store asks £69.99 and £89.99, in the euro countries €79.99 and €99.99. Every other region has its own local price, listed in the tables above.

Is GTA 6 more expensive in Europe than in the US?
In dollars, yes. €79.99 is about $90.01 at the ECB rate of October 16, 2026, while the US price is $79.99. Part of the gap is tax: US PlayStation Store prices are shown before sales tax, while EU rules require the advertised price to include all taxes.
How much is GTA 6 in Russia or Kazakhstan?
The PlayStation Store and the Rockstar Store give no price there; we did not check the Xbox Store for these countries. On October 18, 2026 the Russian PlayStation Store address for GTA VI led to a support page, and the Kazakhstan address returned an error.
