GTA 6 has six radio stations revealed so far, and Rockstar says there are more: the October 8, 2026 post promises "the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio yet". The six are Cocoteo FM, Back Country Radio, AfroBank FM, The Chamber 106.6, Flash FM and Dirty South Classics. For the first time in the series there are also podcasts, and you can listen on foot through in-game earbuds. Separately, a 34-track album, Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, comes out with the game on November 19.

Two details stand out. Back Country Radio is the only station with a stated reach, and its reporter, Mud Dog Mike, broadcasts "from the driver's seat of his Grassrivers airboat", which places it in the swamp country of Leonida. Flash FM gets the grandest billing of the six: Rockstar calls it "The Vice City institution".

Podcasts and headphones: listening on foot
Two changes affect how you will hear music in GTA 6, not only what you hear.
First, podcasts. Rockstar says GTA 6 is the first game in the series with podcasts on demand, next to the live stations. You pick an episode instead of catching whatever is on air.
Second, listening on foot. Radio and podcasts play in vehicles and while walking, through new headphones and earbuds connected to the character's smartphone. Rockstar has not explained the controls yet, for example how you switch stations without a car radio, so we will update this when it does.
GTA VI: The Album, 34 tracks with Atlantic
On September 17, 2026, Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album: 34 original tracks, made with Atlantic Records, released on November 19, 2026 together with the game. You can pre-save it on streaming services now. Eight tracks are public:

The album also comes out on physical formats. Three editions are sold only on gtavi-thealbum.com: a vinyl with liquid inside, a "splatter" vinyl and a CD in a jewel case. Colored vinyl variants go through Blood Records, Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Target, Urban Outfitters and independent shops. Rockstar also mentions a "dynamic score" for the game and promises details later.
Who hosts the stations?
Every station shown has named hosts, and all of them are characters: El Martillo and La Gata, MW and Delta Dawne, Burna and Palmsy, DJ Kerry and DJ Tom, Robyn and Alex, Trick and Trina, plus Mud Dog Mike in the field.
Who voices them is a different question. Several articles have tied these hosts to real musicians. Rockstar's October 8 post does not name a single voice actor. Until Rockstar publishes credits, treat any "X voices Y" claim as unconfirmed.
Which songs were in the GTA 6 trailers?
Rockstar credits the music in the YouTube descriptions of its own trailers:

The Trailer 2 description credits one song, "Hot Together", and nothing else. Rockstar has not said if either credited song plays on an in-game station.

- The full list of stations. Six are shown; the "biggest selection yet" implies more, and neither a classic rock nor a talk station has been shown by name.
- Playlists for any station.
- The other 26 tracks on the album.
- What the "dynamic score" is and how it works.
- Who voices the hosts.
- If the trailer songs play on any in-game station.
What usually goes wrong
Naming real artists as hosts. The hosts are characters. Rockstar has not credited any voice actors.
Trusting a "full tracklist". Rockstar has published 8 of 34 album tracks and no station playlists. A complete list on a forum or video is someone's guess or a leak, and Rockstar has confirmed neither.
Mixing up the album and the radio. The album is a 34-track release with Atlantic that you can stream or buy on vinyl. The radio is the set of in-game stations with their hosts. Rockstar has not said how many album tracks play on which station.
Treating trailer songs as radio confirmations. A song in a trailer is marketing. Only an official station playlist would confirm it in the game.
