The GTA 6 characters start with two playable protagonists, Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, a couple who, in Rockstar's words, are "forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive". Around them Rockstar has profiled six supporting characters by name on its official site: Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, the rap duo Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder. Here is each of them in Rockstar's own words, plus the radio hosts, and an honest answer on voice actors.

Jason Duval
Rockstar's one-line summary: "Jason wants an easy life, but things just keep getting harder."
His profile on the Only in Leonida page fills in the rest. Jason "grew up around grifters and crooks". He did a stint in the Army "trying to shake off his troubled teens", then ended up in the Keys "doing what he knows best, working for local drug runners". The page closes with a hint: "It might be time to try something new."
That something is Lucia. Rockstar writes that meeting her "could be the best or worst thing to ever happen to him", and that Jason knows how he would like it to turn out, but "right now, it's hard to tell". His lines on the site are short and dry: "If anything happens, I'm right behind you" and "Another day in paradise, right?"
Lucia Caminos
"Lucia's father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk." That is how Rockstar opens her profile, and the rest follows from it.
Fighting for her family landed her in Leonida Penitentiary. "Sheer luck got her out", and she has learned her lesson: "only smart moves from here". What drives her is a promise from childhood: she wants "the good life her mom has dreamed of since their days in Liberty City", and instead of fantasies she is ready to take matters into her own hands.
Her line on the site: "The only thing that matters is who you know and what you got." Rockstar ends her profile with "A life with Jason could be her way out", a mirror of Jason's.
Lucia is also a first for the series in one specific sense. Earlier GTA games had female characters you could choose, in the 1997 original, in the Game Boy Color version of GTA 2 and in GTA Online, but she is the first female protagonist who is not optional.
The supporting cast, in one table
All six have their own profile on Rockstar's Only in Leonida page. The quotes are Rockstar's; the "link" column only states connections Rockstar spells out.

A few details sit outside the table. Brian still moves product through his boat yard with his third wife, Lori, and Jason's rent is paid by helping with "local shakedowns". Real Dimez had an early hit with the local rapper DWNPLY, then spent five years and "a whole lot of trouble" before signing. Raul's weak spot, per Rockstar, is recklessness that "raises the stakes with every score".
Rockstar also sketches how they pull on each other. Cal is "at the low tide of America and happy there", but his friend Jason "has bigger plans". Boobie may look out for himself, yet the label with Dre'Quan is what he is "most invested in", and "now they just need a hit". Having signed Real Dimez, Dre'Quan has his sights on the wider Vice City scene, so his days of booking acts into Boobie's strip club "might be numbered". And Brian "looks like a Leonida beach bum" but "moves like a great white shark".

Radio hosts and TV characters
Rockstar's October 8, 2026 radio post introduced a second layer of characters you will hear rather than meet:
- Cocoteo FM: El Martillo and La Gata.
- Back Country Radio: MW and Delta Dawne, plus reporter Mud Dog Mike, who broadcasts from his Grassrivers airboat.
- AfroBank FM: Burna and Palmsy.
- The Chamber 106.6: DJ Kerry and DJ Tom.
- Flash FM: Robyn and Alex.
- Dirty South Classics: Trick and Trina.
The stations themselves are covered in our GTA 6 radio and music guide. On TV, Leonida has "Macca the Gator", described as Leonida's hit TV show, with Macca the alligator and Chunkee the Manatee. Both turn up as merchandise in Rockstar's Vice City Collection collector's box.
Who are the voice actors?
Rockstar has not announced them. There is no cast list on the official site, in Newswire posts or in Rockstar's interviews with the press that we could open.
Names do circulate, both for Jason and Lucia and for the radio hosts. None of it is confirmed by Rockstar, and we do not repeat it. The end credits on November 19, 2026 will be the first reliable list.
Jason and Lucia's relationship in gameplay
Most of what is known here comes from one source: Rob Nelson of Rockstar North in a long interview with IGN, published on October 7, 2026 and recapped by Inven Global. We have not read the original transcript, so treat this as reported, not as Rockstar's own text.
According to that recap, the relationship grows through things the two do together: pool, mini golf, kayaking, and robberies. Romance is optional; Nelson called it "not something that we want to foist upon players". Ignoring the other character's messages also affects how things stand between them. What usually goes wrong
Rumoured actors repeated as cast. Fan theories about who voices Jason or Lucia get copied until they look like settled news. Until Rockstar names the cast, any actor's name is a guess.
A "third protagonist". Because GTA 5 had three, people expect a hidden third playable character. Rockstar's site and synopsis only ever mention two.
Names lifted from leaks. Unauthorised footage from an unfinished build has circulated. Characters "revealed" there are not confirmed by Rockstar and may not even make it into the final game.
Side names promoted to the main cast. Lori and the rapper DWNPLY appear in other characters' profiles, a line each. Rockstar has given them no profile, picture or role of their own, so lists that rank them next to Cal or Raul are filling gaps with guesses.
Mixing up who works with whom. Cal is Jason's friend and works with Brian; Boobie and Dre'Quan run the label that signed Real Dimez. Raul has no stated link to the leads yet, so any claim about where he fits is a guess.
