WoT Blitz Name Generator

A Blitz nickname can only use Latin letters, digits and the underscore, and a rename costs 2,500 gold. Type a word, pick a vibe, and every result already fits the rule, with tank terms mixed in.

Everything runs in your browser. What you type is never sent to our server.

How to use

  1. Type a word you want in the name, or leave it blank. Tanks Blitz / WoT Blitz is already selected, so results use only a-z, 0-9 and _.
  2. Pick a vibe. Cool mixes in tank words (Turret, Ricochet, Howitzer, Recon); Funny works well for platoon names with friends.
  3. Leave Fancy font and Frame on plain. Blitz rejects every symbol outside Latin letters, digits and the underscore, so decorated names will not pass.
  4. Tap ☆ to save candidates, then Copy. In the game, click your nickname in the garage and choose the rename option.
  5. Paste the final pick into the checker: it shows the length out of 24 and flags anything Blitz will refuse.

The generator uses the 3 to 24 Latin rule for both versions. If Wargaming's box accepts something wider, you lose nothing by staying inside the stricter rule.

Names that get changed for you

Both publishers force-rename accounts whose names break the game rules. Lesta's support page says the name is replaced with a technical one, RenamedUser plus a number, or the account can be blocked. The rules list what is not allowed. The ones that catch Blitz players most:

  • Profanity, including disguised forms: letters swapped for digits, words split with underscores, deliberate misspellings.
  • Nazi symbols, terms and designations (the rules name "SS" as an example) and names of the related historical figures. Tank games attract this, and moderators look for it. The generator filters these out.
  • Personal information such as a phone number in the name.

Lesta gives each account one free rename of a name that breaks the rules; using it in one of its games uses it up for the others. Anything else costs the 2,500 gold.

The underscore is the only separator you get, so use it where a space would go: Ricochet_Rita is easier to read than RicochetRita.

What usually goes wrong

  • Cyrillic in the name. Russian letters are rejected. The generator transliterates them; "Сталь" becomes "Stal".
  • Spaces and dots. Neither is allowed. Use the underscore instead.
  • Paying twice in two weeks. On Lesta accounts a second rename within 14 days is refused, so pick carefully before the first one.
  • Testing names with symbols. ★, ꧁ and fancy fonts look great in other games and fail here. Keep the font set to plain.

What makes ours different

Generic nickname lists mix in symbols and spaces that Blitz refuses, so half the ideas are useless. Here the rule is set from the start, tank words are added to the dictionaries, and a filter drops names with the Nazi references the rules name (SS and similar) before you see them. The checker compares the same name with other games, which helps if you also play Standoff 2 or want one name for Steam. For a clan, use the clan name generator and the clan tags guide. It does not know which names are already taken; the rename box in the game does.

FAQ

What characters are allowed in a WoT Blitz nickname?

Latin letters, digits and the underscore, 3 to 24 characters, per Lesta's rename page. No spaces, no Cyrillic, no symbols.

How much does it cost to change a name in Tanks Blitz?

2,500 gold, both in Lesta's Tanks Blitz and in Wargaming's WoT Blitz. Lesta allows it no more than once every 14 days.

Can I change my Blitz name for free?

Lesta gives each account one free rename for a name that breaks the game rules, and using it in one of its games uses it up for the others. Otherwise a rename costs gold.

What happens to my old name?

Wargaming locks it for 30 days so nobody else can take it. Lesta's page does not say.

Why was my name changed to RenamedUser?

Moderators found that it broke the game rules (profanity, Nazi references, personal data and the like) and replaced it with a technical name.

Is the name shared with Mir Tankov?

On Lesta, yes: one account and one name for Tanks Blitz, Mir Tankov and Mir Korabley.
