- Type a word you want inside the name — your real nickname, a weapon, your favourite character. Leave it blank for fully random ideas.
- Pick a vibe: Cool, Pro, Funny, Cute or Anime. Free Fire is already selected as the game.
- Choose a fancy font (small caps, gothic, bold) and a frame like ꧁☬ ☬꧂ or 『 』. The length badge updates so you never go over 12 characters.
- Hit Generate, tap ☆ to save the ones you like, Copy to grab a name.
- In Free Fire open Profile → edit name, paste, confirm. The first change is free, later changes cost 390 diamonds.
Free Fire name rules
Garena does not publish an official spec for nicknames, so the rules below come from what the game actually accepts in 2026. The one hard wall is length: the name field stops at 12 characters, and Free Fire counts Unicode code points, not "letters". A frame like ꧁ ꧂ eats two of those twelve, and a few decorative glyphs can be counted as more than one, so a name that looks like 10 symbols may still be rejected.

Symbols that survive in Free Fire

What does not work: colour emoji are silently stripped when you save, so a name like Shadow🔥 becomes Shadow. Zalgo text (stacked accents) is either cut or rejected. Invisible name and what gets cut
An invisible Free Fire name is a normal name made of characters the game renders as blank. The one that works is the Hangul filler U+3164 (ㅤ). Because names must be unique, a fully blank name is almost always taken, so players add a single visible symbol — ㅤ★ or ㅤツ — which still looks empty in the lobby. If U+3164 is rejected on your version, try the Braille blank U+2800 (⠀). Both are copyable from our invisible name tool. Keep in mind Garena can patch this at any time; it has worked for years, but it is a quirk, not a feature.
What the game strips on save: colour emoji, zero-width joiners and spaces (U+200B, U+200D), most combining accents (zalgo), and rare hieroglyph-style glyphs. If you paste a name and the saved result looks shorter than what you typed, one of those was removed.
