Roblox Premium in 2026: What It Still Gives You

Roblox Premium is a closed subscription. Roblox stopped selling it on 30 April 2026, the day Roblox Plus launched globally, and existing subscribers keep it only until they cancel — after that, resubscribing is not possible. On 30 May 2026 the surviving memberships lost two things: the 10% bonus on Robux purchases and the Premium logo. What remains is a monthly Robux stipend, trading and reselling, and, on the 1000 and 2200 plans, the right to publish avatar items and keep them on sale. If you are reading this to decide whether to buy Premium, that decision has been made for you.

Short answer

Premium cannot be bought any more; cancelling an existing one is a one-way door with no resubscribe button.
Since 30 May 2026 Premium gives a monthly Robux stipend, trading and reselling, and publishing rights on the 1000 and 2200 plans. Nothing else.
Roblox Plus is what is on sale now: 10% off items, 20% from the third consecutive month, free private servers, fee-free Robux transfers — and no stipend unless you take a Plus 500, 1000 or 2000 bundle.

What changed on 30 April and 30 May 2026

Roblox published the change as a notice at the top of its own Premium article, and the two dates do different jobs.

30 April 2026 — Premium closed to new purchases. Roblox Plus became available globally the same day. Nobody new joins Premium from this point.

30 May 2026 — the benefits shrank. Roblox split the change into two lists. Staying: the monthly Robux stipend based on your plan, the ability to trade and resell items, and the ability to publish avatar items and keep them on sale — that last one only for Premium 1000 and 2200 subscribers. Ending: the 10% bonus on Robux purchases, and the Premium logo on your profile.

A third change happened quietly a year earlier and matters to anyone who bought Premium because "developers earn from Premium players". Engagement-based payouts, the system that paid creators for time Premium members spent in their games, was deprecated on 24 July 2025 and replaced by Creator Rewards, which pays on engagement generally. Premium status no longer routes money to the games you play.

The stipend: how much, and where to look

Here we hit a genuine limit. Roblox's help article says the stipend is "based on your plan" and names the plans in passing as Premium 1000 and Premium 2200, but it never prints the monthly Robux figures, and neither does the article on finding your Robux. We are not going to invent them.

What Roblox does document is where to verify your own number, and that is more useful anyway.

That page shows every stipend as a dated line. Two facts from the same article are worth pinning: renewals that complete successfully deliver the monthly Robux by the end of the renewal day, and the deposit lands in the balance rather than as a separate wallet. If the stipend date passes and the line does not appear, the problem is the renewal, not the delivery.

Compare that with the Plus bundles, where Roblox does publish figures: Plus 500, Plus 1000 and Plus 2000 add 500, 1,000 or 2,000 recurring Robux a month respectively. That is the only place in the current subscription line-up where the monthly Robux number is stated outright.

Trading, reselling and publishing — the part that still earns

Strip away the cosmetics and Premium is now a licence for three mechanics. All three have costs that are easy to miss.

Two of those rows deserve a sentence each. The trading fee is the one that quietly eats value: 30% comes off any Robux you attach to a trade the moment the offer is accepted, and Roblox states trades are final and cannot be reversed, refunded or disputed. And the last row is not a typo — fee-free Robux transfers are a Plus benefit that Premium never gained, which is the clearest sign of which subscription Roblox is building on.

Reselling has a regional layer as well: users in Japan can only resell Limiteds originally made by Roblox, and reselling is unavailable in South Korea.

Roblox Plus: what is actually on sale

Roblox describes Plus as "a benefits-only monthly subscription with no monthly stipend", which is the honest framing. The value is in discounts and access, not in currency arriving.

10% off in-game items and avatar items, rising to 20% from the third consecutive month. The exclusions are printed: items over 1M Robux, resold items, ads credit, UGC publishing fees, and group name or creation fees.
Free private servers, with a change already announced — from 24 September this becomes one free private server per game, and extra free servers in a single game start expiring. Servers you bought separately are untouched.
Fee-free Robux transfers, subject to age checks on both sides and parental approval for under-18s.
Trading, reselling and publishing avatar items, the same rights Premium keeps.
One of the criteria required for a game to be visible to users of all ages, for creators.

Where you can buy it is narrower than you would expect: web and desktop by card, PayPal or gift card credits, plus the Apple and Google Play stores. Roblox lists the places it is not sold — the Samsung Galaxy Store build of the app, PCGDK, Microsoft Handheld, Quest and other consoles — and says it is unavailable to users on the Roblox-VNG app in Vietnam.

Prices are the one thing we cannot verify from Roblox's documentation, so treat any figure you see quoted elsewhere as unconfirmed and read the number on the purchase screen instead.

Who it pays off for, and who is throwing money away

The maths is not about the subscription fee. It is about which of the four mechanics you use in a month.

It pays off if you trade or resell. Both are locked behind a subscription and neither works without one. If you move Limiteds with any regularity, the subscription is a tool cost, not a perk.

It pays off if you publish avatar items. The 30% base commission on the Marketplace climbs to 70% for items priced at six times their asset type's price floor, and none of that is available without the subscription. See the fee tables in how to get Robux before you price anything.

It probably pays off if you buy items every month. Twenty per cent off from the third month, on items you were buying anyway, is a real number — as long as you were genuinely buying them anyway.

It does not pay off if you wanted currency. Plus alone gives no Robux, and the bundles simply pre-pay for Robux you could buy directly. Buying on the web or with a gift card already gives up to 25% more Robux to everyone, subscription or not.

It does not pay off for a specific game. No subscription grants abilities inside somebody's experience. Roblox says this directly about the older VIP shirt myth: there is no shirt or pass that provides VIP access everywhere, and anyone offering one should be reported.

Cancelling, and the door that does not reopen

Cancellation is the highest-stakes button on the page, because for Premium it is permanent.

Desktop app or browser: log into the account that holds the membership, click the gear icon, open Settings, select Subscriptions, then Cancel Renewal.
Apple: device Settings → your Apple ID name → Subscriptions → Roblox.
Google Play: Play Store → profile icon → Payments & Subscriptions.

Roblox is clear that memberships bought through a mobile app cannot be cancelled inside Roblox itself. If the Cancel button is missing or greyed out, its own list of reasons covers it: already cancelled or set to expire, currently renewing, a non-recurring Windows or Amazon purchase, or a mobile purchase that must be handled in the store.

After cancelling you keep the benefits for the rest of the period you already paid for. Renewals are not refundable, memberships are non-transferable between accounts, and there is no grace period on the resubscribe question — for Premium there is simply no resubscribe.

What usually goes wrong

The stipend did not arrive and the account still looks Premium. The renewal failed. Roblox retries for 72 hours after the renewal date, then cancels. Check My Transactions → Premium Stipends first, then the payment method under Settings → Subscriptions — updating the card there works if the purchase went through Stripe.
Trading is switched on but no offers can be sent. Both players need an active subscription, and both need inventory visibility and trading enabled under Account Settings → Privacy & content restrictions → Trading & inventory. One side missing either setting blocks the whole trade.
A Limited was bought to flip and cannot be listed. The holding period runs up to 30 days from purchase. Nothing is broken; the item is simply not sellable yet, and the same wait applies again to the Robux after it sells.
Someone offered to "gift Premium". There is no gifting path for a closed subscription, and Roblox states memberships are non-transferable. Any such offer is the standard account-theft opener — the mechanics behind it are laid out in our Robux guide and in the promo code guide.
A cancel was clicked "to switch plans". For Premium there is no second chance. If the goal was Plus, buy Plus first — Roblox confirms both subscriptions can be active at the same time.

The bonus that survives is a purchase channel one: buying on the web, on computers or with gift cards gives up to 25% more Robux to everyone.

Do I need Premium to trade on Roblox?

The trading article now names Roblox Plus as the requirement, and the item details page article phrases reselling as needing Roblox Plus or a legacy Premium subscription.
