The Ghost of Yōtei platinum trophy has nothing missable and can be earned on Casual difficulty in a single playthrough. You need 54 trophies, and PowerPyx puts the platinum at 50–70 hours. Stratege users report 69 hours on average. PowerPyx's route is simple: story first, then the side tales that give gear, then the 31 bounties, then the collectibles and Yōtei Six camps, with a one-hour cleanup at the end.
The game has no PS4 version, so there is no autopop shortcut here. The full list with every condition and its PSN rarity is in the tables below.

Short answer
- Play the story on any difficulty: Casual is fine, and nothing in Ghost of Yōtei is missable.
- After the credits, do only the trophy-relevant side tales first: they give the weapons and armor the other trophies ask for.
- Track the 31 bounties yourself. The game does not show a list of finished ones, and the trophy needs all of them.
- You do not need every collectible: Ainu items, Pillars of the Fallen and 31 of the 61 altars can be skipped.
- The base platinum is 54 trophies. The 31 NG+ and Legends trophies on the same list do not count toward it.
Is anything missable in Ghost of Yōtei?
No. PowerPyx lists zero missable and zero glitched trophies, and the open world stays available after the story. Dialogue choices do not affect any trophy.
One thing works against you: quests cannot be replayed. That never locks a trophy, because each one comes from finishing a tale, not from how you played it, but it means you cannot redo a tale to see a missed scene. The game also has 10 manual save slots, which is the only safety net you get.
Roadmap: story, side tales, bounties, collectibles, camps
The five steps below follow PowerPyx's roadmap, retold in our words with its own hour estimates. Take the "Step" column in the tables from here.
- Story, about 10 hours and up. Play on Casual if you only care about trophies. Pick up side tasks you run into, but do not force them: almost everything is easier with the late-game kit.
- Side tales, about 10 hours. Roughly half of the side tales give nothing for trophies. The ones that matter are the sensei tales for the yari, kusarigama and odachi, Takezo's tales, the Ainu tales, Ina's bomb tales, Hana's farm tale and the tales that give armor or shamisen songs. Doing them before step 4 means you collect with the full arsenal.
- Bounties, about 10 hours. All 31 are posted at the inn boards of each region, and new ones appear as you finish old ones. The map only gives a search area, so Master Bounty Hunter is PowerPyx's pick for the hardest trophy.
- Collectibles and camps, about 20 hours. Equip the Robes for Sitturaynu from The Heart of the Ainu: they guide you to shamisen songs and sumi-e paintings. Turn on the Wind Gust Camera in the accessibility menu so the wind points at your map marker.
- Cleanup, about 1 hour. Leftover combat trophies such as the pistol parry or the cliff kick can wait until the end: enemies keep roaming the open world even after every camp is cleared.
If you play slowly, step 4 is where the extra time goes. PowerPyx counts 20 hours for it alone, and it is the step people leave half-finished.

The rarest trophy in the base list is An Artist's Eye at 15.0%, just ahead of Trickster Fox at 15.1% and Speaking with the Land at 15.9%. All three are collectibles, not combat trials.
NG+, Legends and add-on trophies outside the platinum
Stratege lists 85 Ghost of Yōtei trophies, and only the first 54 belong to the platinum. The other 31 came with later content:
- New Game+: Mo Ichido for finishing a run in NG+ and Rare and Exceptional for buying from the NG+ merchant (6.9% on PSN). PowerPyx's header from October 2025 still says the game has no NG+, so the mode arrived with an update.
- Legends: the Legends mode adds trophies such as Student No More and No More Lessons for class ranks, Ghosts Unyielding for Gold survival and Kaibyaku for all raid missions.
- Other add-ons: PowerPyx keeps separate trophy guides for Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted.
PowerPyx says it directly: the platinum needs no DLC. If your trophy percentage is stuck below 100% after the platinum pops, this block is the reason.
How long does the Ghost of Yōtei platinum take?
Two estimates, from two different kinds of data:
| Source | Estimate | What it measures |
|---|---|---|
| PowerPyx (Oct 1, 2025) | 50–70 hours, difficulty 3/10 | One guide writer's run with the roadmap |
| Stratege (Oct 11, 2026) | 69 hours on average | Self-reported time of Stratege users |
The gap is most likely side content and wandering: PowerPyx follows a set route, Stratege users report however they actually played. On the rarity side, Stratege shows 5,841 platinum owners out of 9,586 users who have the game, while PSN rarity for the platinum is 13.2%. The first number comes from a site full of trophy hunters, the second from everyone who launched the game, so both hold at once.
What usually goes wrong
Master Bounty Hunter still missing after "all" bounties. The game has no screen that lists finished bounties, so it is easy to lose one. Write each down as you finish it, or check a full list region by region. New posters appear only after earlier bounties are done, so go back to every inn board.
Chasing all 18 sumi-e. PowerPyx counts 15 of 18 paintings as enough for An Artist's Eye and says the three from side tales are not required. Do not replay your route looking for tale paintings.
Spear Fishing stuck at 4 of 5. The yari sensei tale gives you four fish automatically. The fifth has to be a fish jumping out of shallow water, marked by a white circle, speared with the yari equipped.
Wolf Bait or You Dropped This won't trigger. Both need skills first. Wolf Bait needs a wolf summon skill, which in turn needs two wolf dens. You Dropped This needs a disarm skill bought at altars of reflection.
Hunting all 61 altars. Moments of Reflection needs 30. The other 31 only matter for buying skills.
What does the platinum give you?
In-game, nothing: the platinum is a trophy on your PSN profile. Outside the game there is a real reward. PlayStation's Ghost Rewards store offers the "Legendary Onryō" Complete Edition Platinum Trophy Pin for $25 to players who earn the platinum on a connected PSN account.
On October 12, 2026 the product page said no purchase deadline applies and the pin is sold while supplies last. It is a zinc alloy pin with a spinning wolf layer in a display box, and the store warns about a 4–6 month wait before shipping. The same store has a fox plush for From One Ghost to Another and a pin for Unrivalled.
The platinum also helps your trophy level. PlayStation said in 2020 that platinums count more toward level progress, and trackers value one at 300 points against 15 for a bronze.
With the platinum done, Ghost of Tsushima is the obvious next step, and our Ghost of Tsushima platinum guide covers it, including the PS4 save autopop. For something different, the God of War Ragnarök platinum guide and the Hogwarts Legacy platinum guide use the same table format. Can't decide? Let the random game picker choose, rank your platinums in the tier list maker, and find every page about the game on the Ghost of Yōtei hub, the PlayStation hub or in all guides.
