CS2 Inferno smokes in the standard set are 12 smokes plus 9 other grenades (five mollies and four flashes), all from the base Inferno guide on csnades.gg, checked on October 11, 2026. Each row below says where to stand, what to aim at, how to throw, the flight time and when csnades last updated the lineup. We describe spots in words with no game screenshots; the link in each row opens the csnades page with a short video. One warning comes first: Valve reworked parts of Inferno several times after these lineups were last dated, so a section below lists which ones to check. New to lineups? Short answer

  • First five T smokes: CT from banana, coffins, arches, pit and moto.
  • First three CT smokes: B entrance from CT, top mid and half wall from CT spawn.
  • Two smokes use a jump with both mouse buttons (medium throw): front graveyard from arch and moto from pit.
  • All 21 lineups were last updated on csnades by February 2025; Valve changed the map five times after that. Watch the video before a match.
  • No jump-throw bind: ignored by default since August 19, 2024.

Which smokes to learn first on Inferno?

For T side, think in two site takes. On B, the smoke on CT from banana and the coffins smoke from half wall are the core pair: one covers the CT side of the site, the other the coffins corner. On A, the base set gives three smokes thrown from mid and alt mid: arches, pit and moto.

For CT side, the B entrance smoke from CT covers the exit from banana onto B, while top mid and half wall from CT spawn cover T movement through mid. Three smokes, two entrances.

This order is our pick based on the base set. If you are not sure whether you want to throw the utility or take the first duel, the CS2 role quiz gives a quick read.

T-side smokes

Seven smokes from csnades' base Inferno guide. "Jump" means jump and release left click right after.

Moto from alt mid flies 9.5 seconds, the longest in the set. Throw it first in an A take, so it blooms at the same time as the others.

CT-side smokes

Either side, medium throw. Two lineups are marked "Any" team on csnades and use a jump with both mouse buttons:

Instant bottom mid smokes. csnades keeps a separate guide with six bottom mid smokes from different CT spawn positions, all jump throws, some standing and some running. Pick the one for the spawn you usually get.

Molotovs and flashes for banana and A

Nine lineups from the same base guide. Flashes fly 1.6 s, mollies 1.6–2 s.

Molotov: banana CT

Stand: Tip of the shadow on top banana, right of the flower pot

Throw: Run, left click

Watch the throw (csnades)

Molotov: new box T

Stand: Corner by car, line up the bottom of the spot with the bottom of the line

Throw: Jump, stand (very precise)

Watch the throw (csnades)

Molotov: oranges T

Stand: Corner of the chair by car, bottom right of the pipe

Throw: Left click, stand

Watch the throw (csnades)

Molotov: quad T

Stand: Middle of the garage door at top mid, the roof support

Throw: Run, release after one step

Watch the throw (csnades)

On CT side, the banana molly and the top banana flash are both thrown without a jump, so they are the easiest two to add after the smokes.

Which Inferno lineups to check after Valve's changes

This is the part other lineup lists skip. Every lineup above was last updated on csnades between November 2023 and February 25, 2025. After that, Valve's release notes list these Inferno changes:

Date What Valve changed Lineups to check first
Mar 31, 2025 Banana resized closer to CS:GO, view into pit simplified, grenade collision adjusted across the map Everything, banana molly and CT from banana first
Jul 28, 2025 Church windows above coffins opened, church garden path reshaped, first box on B changed Coffins smoke
Oct 22, 2025 Top of quad and under balcony adjusted Quad molly, balcony flash
Nov 12, 2025 Skybox fixed where it was blocking grenades Valve does not say where; re-check high, long smokes
Mar 4, 2026 A balcony extended, graveyard at A closed, clipping at the small window by second mid Front graveyard smoke, balcony flash

csnades still lists all 21 in its base guide as of October 11, 2026, and we could not test them in the game ourselves. So the honest advice is: throw each lineup in practice before you depend on it, and trust the video more than the date.

How to practise these lineups

Open a practice match on Inferno and paste the command block from how to throw smokes in CS2. Then:

  1. Stand and aim: match the spot to the csnades video, aim, and stop moving the mouse.
  2. Throw and rethrow: throw once, then use the rethrow key to watch it from the target side.
  3. Fly over with noclip: check the smoke covers what it should, not just that it lands.
  4. Repeat in a bot match: use only the new lineup for a few rounds.

Your mouse sensitivity does not move the landing point. If you just switched from another game and the aim feels foreign, the sensitivity converter carries your sens over. A clean crosshair helps with aim points like "the dot on the wall"; see CS2 crosshair codes.

Learning order and binds

Week one: CT from banana and coffins for B, then arches for A. Week two: pit and moto, so you have a full A take. Week three: the three CT smokes and the banana molly and flash pair.

You need no throw bind. The binds worth having are practice ones: rethrow, noclip, grenade camera and trail, listed in the throwing guide.

What usually goes wrong

The banana molly lands short. Banana was resized in March 2025, after this lineup was last updated. Watch the current csnades video and adjust the release point.

Coffins smoke no longer covers what it did. Valve opened the church windows above coffins and reshaped the garden path in July 2025, after this lineup was last updated. Compare your result with the current video before you change the aim.

Moto smoke arrives late. At 9.5 seconds in the air it is the slowest lineup in the set. Throw it before the others in an A take.

Medium-throw smokes go long. Front graveyard and moto from pit need both mouse buttons with the jump. A plain left-click jump throw flies further.

Quad molly bounces off. The run-throw is released after one step, not from standing. Valve also adjusted the top of quad in October 2025, so compare with the video.

If Inferno feels heavy, learn Mirage smokes or Dust 2 smokes first. The random CS2 map picker can choose your next practice map, CS2 launch options covers the settings side, and the CS2 weapons tier list helps with the buy. All CS2 pages are in the CS2 hub and on the guides page.

FAQ

Which Inferno smokes should I learn first?

On T side: CT from banana, coffins from half wall, arches from mid, pit and moto from alt mid. On CT side: B entrance from CT, top mid and half wall from CT spawn.

Do Inferno lineups need a jump throw bind?

No. Since August 19, 2024 jump-throw binds are ignored by default. Jump and release the grenade right after; Valve made that land the same way every time.

Are these Inferno lineups still valid in 2026?

csnades still lists all 21 in its base guide on October 11, 2026, but every one was last updated by February 25, 2025. Valve then changed Inferno on March 31, July 28, October 22 and November 12, 2025 and on March 4, 2026, so check each by video before a match.

Does the front graveyard smoke still work?

Treat it as unchecked. Valve closed the graveyard at bombsite A on March 4, 2026, and csnades last updated this lineup on May 28, 2024.

Where can I watch each throw?

Every row links to its csnades page with a short video. We describe positions in words and do not use game screenshots.

How do I practise them?

Open a practice match on Inferno, paste the command block from our guide on how to throw smokes in CS2 and use sv_rethrow_last_grenade to repeat a throw.
