CS2 Anubis smokes in the csnades base set are 11 smokes plus 16 other grenades (eight molotovs, seven flashes and one HE), checked on October 11, 2026. One thing matters on Anubis before anything else: it came back to Active Duty on January 21, 2026 with layout changes, and 26 of those 27 lineups were last updated on csnades before that day. Below, each lineup is a table row with where to stand, what to aim at, how to throw, the flight time and the csnades date, and we mark the ones near the changed areas. We describe the spots in words, with no game screenshots; each row links to the csnades page with a short video. New to lineups? Start with how to throw smokes in CS2.

Short answer

  • First five T smokes: top mid and canals from T spawn, B site and back of B from ruins, platform from water.
  • First three CT smokes: A main from CT spawn, bridge from mid, B main from CT spawn.
  • Anubis left the pool on July 16, 2025 and came back on January 21, 2026. The update moved the bridge drop, reversed the mid doors, added a hole between e-box and back of B and moved the A-site crates up onto walkway.
  • Test bridge, mid doors, e-box and A-site lineups before a match. The newest base row, a back-of-B molotov, is dated July 12, 2026.
  • No jump-throw bind; it has been ignored by default since August 19, 2024.

Which smokes to learn first on Anubis?

Start in T spawn. Top mid and canals are thrown from the same middle pillar, with different aim points: the bottom right corner of a blanket for top mid, the bottom left corner of a sheet for canals. Two smokes, one spot, both standing jump throws.

For B, go to ruins. The B site smoke and the back of B smoke are both thrown from there, and the e-box smoke also starts from the middle of a door in ruins. From water, platform and heaven are short standing jump throws, 4.5 and 4.1 seconds in the air.

On CT side, A main from CT spawn and bridge from mid cover the two simplest jobs. Bridge from mid is a plain left click marked "Loose" on csnades. B main from CT spawn is marked "Very Precise", so practise it more than the others.

A Steam Community guide published on January 25, 2026, four days after the update, groups Anubis smokes into A (heaven, middle, new box and walkway), mid (middle, connector, palace) and B (B cross, back of B, connector). It was written for the changed layout, so use it as a second reference for the areas Valve touched.

T-side smokes

Eight smokes: seven from csnades' base set, plus one marked "extra" that is on csnades but outside that set. "Jump" means jump and release left click right after.

"Check" marks a lineup that lands near an area Valve changed on January 21, 2026 (here, the new hole next to e-box). Heaven from water is marked "Loose" on csnades and forgives a rough aim.

Instant top mid smokes. csnades keeps a separate guide with instant mid smokes from different T spawn positions; most are standing jump throws. Since September 30, 2026 the grenade crosshair shows during freeze time when you hold a grenade attack button, so you can line up before the round starts.

CT-side smokes

Both bridge smokes are marked "check" because Valve moved the bridge drop near the mid doors in January 2026. The smoke itself may still cover bridge; what changed is where players come down.

Molotovs, flashes and HE that matter

Sixteen lineups from the same base set. Flashes fly 1.6 s, the HE 1.7 s, molotovs 1.4 to 2 s.

Flash: bridge CT

Stand: Connector, edge near the door frame, tip lined up with the border

Throw: Jump, stand

Watch the throw (csnades)

Molotov: B default CT

Stand: Sniper, at the pillar, scaffolding between pillar and bricks

Throw: Left click, stand

Watch the throw (csnades)

Molotov: back of B (check) T

Stand: E-box, dot next to the brick, bottom of the crack on the pillar

Throw: Run, jump

Watch the throw (csnades)

Molotov: mid doors (check) T

Stand: Bridge, edge of the table, top right of the window

Throw: Left click, stand

Watch the throw (csnades)

The two back-of-B molotovs from e-box show how a map change plays out. The older one is dated January 2025; the second one csnades updated on July 12, 2026, after the new hole between e-box and back of B appeared. If you learn one, learn the 2026 version. The mid doors molotov is the riskiest row here: the doors were reversed in January 2026, and csnades still dates this lineup January 2024.

How to practise these lineups

Open a practice match on Anubis and paste the command block from how to throw smokes in CS2. Then work row by row:

  1. Match the spot with the csnades video.
  2. Aim, then stop moving the mouse.
  3. Throw five times with rethrow, and noclip over to check the landing.
  4. Use it once in a bot match, alone.

Start with the rows marked "check": if one of them no longer lands, you want to know in practice, not in Premier. Sensitivity does not move a lineup, but if your aim feels off after another game, the sensitivity converter keeps it consistent. A thick crosshair makes small aim points hard to read; see CS2 crosshair codes.

What usually goes wrong

A lineup from a 2024 video no longer lands. Anubis changed on January 21, 2026, and Valve adjusted grenade clipping around the e-box hole and the old drop again on February 4, 2026. Check the csnades date, then compare with the January 25, 2026 Steam guide for that area.

The mid doors molotov hits the wrong side. The doors now open the other way. Throw it in practice first; if it fails, leave it out until csnades posts a newer version.

Top mid and canals get swapped. Same pillar, different corner: blanket for top mid, sheet for canals. Pick one per round and say which.

B main from CT spawn falls short. It is "Very Precise", and the aim point is where two brick lines meet. Wait a moment after aiming before you jump.

A jump smoke flies too far or too short. Old jump-throw binds do nothing since August 2024. Release right after the jump.

Learning order and binds

Week one: the five T smokes from the short answer. Week two: A main, bridge from mid and B main for CT. Week three: molotovs, starting with the 2026 back-of-B molotov from e-box and the B pillar molotov from ruins, then one instant top mid smoke for your usual spawn.

No throw binds. The binds worth having are for practice: rethrow, noclip, the grenade camera and the flight trail, all in the throwing guide.

Next maps: Ancient smokes, Nuke smokes, Cache smokes and Inferno smokes. Let the random CS2 map picker choose today's map. The rest is in the CS2 hub and on the guides page.

FAQ

Which Anubis smokes should I learn first?

On T side: top mid and canals from the same pillar in T spawn, then B site and back of B from ruins, and platform from water. On CT side: A main from CT spawn, bridge from mid and B main from CT spawn.

Do Anubis lineups need a jump throw bind?

No. Since August 19, 2024 binds that mix jump and attack are ignored, and Valve made a plain jump followed by a quick throw land the same way every time.

Are these Anubis lineups still valid after the 2026 changes?

Anubis came back to Active Duty on January 21, 2026 with a moved bridge drop, reversed mid doors, a new hole between e-box and back of B and moved crates on A. 26 of the 27 csnades base lineups were last updated before that date, so test the ones near those areas first.

When did Anubis return to the map pool?

Valve removed Anubis from Active Duty on July 16, 2025 and added it back on January 21, 2026, when Train left. It is one of the seven Active Duty maps as of October 2026.

Where can I watch each throw?

Every row links to its csnades page, which has a short video of the lineup. We describe positions in words only and do not use game screenshots.

How do I practise these lineups?

Open a practice match on Anubis, paste the command block from our guide on how to throw smokes in CS2 and bind sv_rethrow_last_grenade to repeat your last throw.
