The Russian version of the same notice is slightly shorter — it drops the clause about codes of the same type. When two official translations disagree, the stricter one is the safer assumption.
Why do livestream codes die so fast?
Because they are tied to a moment, not to a patch. Codes handed out during a version preview broadcast exist to reward people watching it, and HoYoverse sets their validity accordingly.
The page does not publish how long any given code lives, and we are not going to invent a number. What it does say is rule three: a code cannot be redeemed after it expires. There is no checker, no API and no list with special access. The redemption field is the test: paste the code, press the button, read the answer. "Please enter valid redemption code" means the string is not a code at all; a redemption that goes through and produces mail means it was.
Two habits make that test cheap. Redeem on the day the code is published rather than on the day you find a list, and redeem before you read the rest of the article — the code costs nothing to try and everything to postpone.
