How to use
- Press Play in browser. The emulator and the game load once and are then cached by the browser.
- Click inside the black screen so the keyboard goes into the game and not into the page.
- Fullscreen gives you the whole screen; Escape returns you to the page.
- Progress lives while the tab stays open: the emulator keeps the game files in the page memory, and a reload wipes them.
- On a phone the game starts, but without a keyboard most DOS titles are hard to play — this is a desktop thing.
Why this game is legal to play here
This is the shareware or freeware release the rights holder itself put into free circulation. Shareware was the way this game was sold: the first episode was handed out for anyone to copy, and copying it was the point. Nothing here is a cracked or dumped copy of a paid product.What runs it
The page uses js-dos, a DOSBox build compiled to WebAssembly. Everything happens in your browser: the emulator, the game files and the saves. There is no server-side game, nothing is installed, and nothing you do in the game reaches us.If the game does not start
The first launch pulls a few megabytes; on a slow connection give it a minute. If the screen stays black, reload the page — the emulator sometimes fails to initialise on the very first run. Sound needs a click on the page first, that is a browser rule, not ours. Some corporate networks block WebAssembly; then it will not run at all.FAQ
Is it really free?
Yes. The publisher released this version for free distribution, and it is that exact release running here.
Do I need to install anything?
No. The game runs inside the browser tab through a WebAssembly build of DOSBox. Close the tab and nothing is left on the computer except the browser cache.
Where are my saves?
Inside the emulator file system, which lives in the page memory. Reload the page and you start over: that is a limit of the current player.
Can I play on a phone?
It starts, but DOS games expect a keyboard. Without one you will manage the menus and little else.
Is the full version available here?
No. Only the freely distributable part is here. The full version, where one exists, is sold by the rights holder.
