How to use it
- Optionally type a word you want to keep, such as your name or hobby.
- Press Aesthetic, Gamer, Short or Cute for ten suggestions.
- Copy a name you like, then check whether it is free on the platform you want it for.
What this tool does
Each press generates ten names from a curated word list and shows them one per line. Duplicates are filtered out, so ten presses give you a hundred distinct options.
Aesthetic joins two words with a single dot: velvet.raven, frost.orbit. Letters and one dot, nothing else. Every platform accepts a dot.
Short is the strictest: it clips both words and joins them into one lowercase run of letters, like silfox or novecho. No separator, no digits, usually six to eight characters. This is the style to use if you want something that looks like a real name.
Gamer deliberately breaks the rules — mixed capitals inside the word and sometimes a number on the end, because that is the look people want for game tags where the clean version was taken in 2009.
Cute joins two words with an underscore and sometimes adds a soft ending, such as amber_willow or quiet_foxie.

Names without numbers, and why generators keep adding them
The most common complaint about username generators is that you ask for a name and receive xX_shadowwolf_Xx99. Generators do this because it is the cheap way to guarantee a name is unique: adding random digits makes a collision almost impossible without the generator having to be clever, and without it having to check anything.
The cost is that the result reads badly, is hard to say out loud, is hard to type from memory, and marks the account as generated. A trailing number is also the first thing a scam account does, so a name ending in four digits carries a faint smell of a bot to anybody scrolling past.
Two words that fit together do most of the work: they are memorable, they are pronounceable, and there are enough combinations that you will still find free ones. When a good name really is taken, the better moves are to change one of the two words, add a dot, or add a short meaningful word such as your city or your craft — not to bolt on 1997.

We cannot tell you if a name is taken
Checking availability means asking each platform, one account at a time, through interfaces that require server-side access, keys and rate limits — and results go stale within minutes anyway, because somebody else may register the name between the check and your sign-up. This page runs entirely in your browser and contacts nothing, so it makes no claim it cannot keep. Sites that show you a green tick for twelve platforms at once are either guessing or logging your searches.
Checking by hand takes about ten seconds each:
- Instagram. Open
instagram.com/thename. A page that says the page is not available means the handle is probably free; a profile means it is taken. - TikTok. Open
tiktok.com/@thename. Same logic. - Discord. Settings, then My Account, then edit the username field. Discord tells you immediately whether it is available.

One caution: a handle that returns nothing is not always free. It may be suspended, reserved, or held by a private or deactivated account. The sign-up form is the only real answer.
What each platform actually allows

The practical consequence: if you want one handle across everything, use the strictest common set — lowercase letters and digits, fifteen characters or fewer, no dots. The Short style is built for exactly that. And no platform accepts styled Unicode letters in a handle, whatever a fancy text site implies.
Privacy: nothing you type is sent anywhere
The word you seed the generator with, and every name it produces, stay in your browser. No lookup is performed, nothing is logged and there is no account. This is worth caring about: username checkers see exactly which names you are interested in before you have registered them, and that is a list worth having if you are in the business of squatting handles. Here there is no request to intercept.
